deeje
Ok im going to make a new box and i want to tune it to 29 or 30 hz with around .9 cubes after displacement but i cant get it to work without jus too long of a port or sticking 2x4s to take up space which if i do that would mess up the tuning wouldnt it? Any and all help would be great. CheezyMane13
external port.....this way you will have that needed port length but it wont mess with eh box size...ThorsHammer box has a port that looks almost longer then the depth of the box Quote take baby steps, u cant do it all at once unless u have a roll of 100's big enough to choke a donkey 1998 Chevy Venture "Swagger Wagon" Kenwood Excelon KDC-X994 Headunit 3 15" Alpine Type R's in seperate T-Lines 1 RF T1500-1bd for 2 of the 15s 1 RF P1000-1bd for the single 15 3 sets of Hifonics Zeus ZXi6.5C Components( 1 more set to come for Front stage) 1 Hifonics HFi100.4 4-channel amp Stock alt for now (DC HO SPL 400A when funds come in,currently working on buying this) Stock battery and one Optima Redtop for now (looking at XS batteries) 3 15" Alpine Type R's (aka Swagger Wagon Build 1.0) Swagger Wagon Build 2.0 Youtube Videos
Robert8252
Just like how all my boxes have been for my XL. The port needs to stick out. I could design you one with about 1 net with a 4" aero but port would need to stick out 10" or so for 32hz tuning.... Tuning low with aeros isn't fun unless you have a huge freakin box. NcHalfrican
What they said, or use passive radiators.
Heinrich_Hertz
You should probly go for 2 18"s in a .9ft^3 box.
deeje
2 18s? How exactly does a passive radiator work to affect tuning and I really don't wanna have to stick a port out that was the reasoning behind the 10th to have a small box so I can fit baby stuff in the back. But if its my only option then ill have to I guess. Robert8252
Since you aren't really going for numbers I would just do a slot port. Will be the easiest thing to fit and not take up weird space. deeje
That's my problem I can't figure out how to get down to 30 Hz at .9 cubes. Robert8252
This is only he said she said but I've had maybe 2 people tell me the 10" xl does great in 1-2^ft boxes. Please don't go off of me only but look around and see what you can find. Even give DC a call and talk to them if you want.
