NcHalfrican
What do you look for when pairing mid-woofers, midranges, and tweeters for an active component setup? Other than the driver having a flat response across the frequencies you would like to cross them at. Sensativity?

AMI CUSTOMS
You are using two different terms in the same sentence, so not sure exactly what you are asking, but you want them to take up the remaining part of the frequency band above your woofers, so if you are filtering your woofers out at 8 0 hz, you would want components on the hpf side of that and up. Sensitivity is just going to let you know how efficient that said driver is going to play. skittlesRgood
well if you know where you want to cross them over at then you want to find speakers that will play to that crossover point. so you obviously dont want a mid that plays up to 3000hz paired with a tweeter that goes down to 4000hz. to bring the sound stage up a little you can pick a tweeter that can play a little lower to bring more sound up. ummm... I wouldnt mix paper cone mids with metal tweeters. well, I dont like the harshness if metal either way but it seems like mixing a bright tweeter with a mellow paper cone would sound a little funny. other than that... just find nice speakers of each type. If I answered you in a well mannered, informative way, you asked a good question or had a good attitude. If I was an asshole, you asked a stupid question or you had a fucktard attitude... or I was in a bad mood.
