Can just regualar 6 gauge wires be used as power and ground because i have rolls of them and other gauges. also what gauge speaker wire should i use for my sub? Which is a P3 Shallow 10 300 watts rms. Also can i use just random wires as speaker wires? just wondering

I dont think you can go wrong with using the biggest wire your amp will accept. If it will accept 0 gauge, use 0 gauge, if not use the biggest wire you can. As far as that sub goes, using 12 or 14 or even 16 gauge should be ok.

You could do 12 gauge for the speaker wire, but on any amp I never go smaller than 4 gauge for power/ground, I have a 300 watt rms fosgate amp that I still power with 4 gauge, and the rest is 0 gauge.

my rule of thumb for power/ground. always use the biggest wire the amp will accept. for speaker wire, 14-16 gauge will be fine for mids and highs, for subwoofers i would use 12-14 (for mid to low power)
