New Guy Question

Hi I'm pretty new to the whole car audio scene. I just have a few things to clear up. I'm planning on buying a 12" alpine type x, but i am not sure if i am suppose to get the dual 2 ohm or the dual 4 ohm.. I'll most likely be buying the 1000w alpine mono block to go with it. I just want 1 sub, and will only ever have 1 sub, so i don't need to purchase anything for a future upgrade.

to wire it down to 1 ohm you will want dual 2 ohm...

D4 will wire down to 2 ohms...

so depends on how you want to wire it

Would it matter which one I do, what would pump out the most power

if your amps lowest ohmload that it is stable at is 1 ohm

get 1 Dual 2 ohm sub

if its lowest ohmload is 2 ohms

get a dual 4 ohm sub

If you're referring to the Alpine MRP-M1000 monoblock amp, it is only stable down to 2 ohms, so you would want the dual 4 ohm sub, and parallel wire it to 2 ohms.
