TeamHT
i was told that with SVC 4 ohm subs im not going to get the whole 600 watts from this amp , im trying to understand but dont quite grasp it, please help ? Im assuming i need a mono amp ? having a mono block amplifier would make it easier when wiring but this is not the reason youre not able to pull the power youre looking at. the reason is the voicecoil configurations in your setup. wiring two 4ohm SVC subs youre options are either a final 2ohm or 4ohm load. so look for an amp with good output power at either 2 or 4 ohms. i provided options and i would go with the AQ2200. Lost Legacy
you are correct. find a class D mono amplifier capable of 700 watts RMS @ 2 ohm. i agree with the amplifier choice. wire the subs parallel to get a 2 ohm load. (with your current wiring configuration, in series, the subs are wired to an 8 ohm load) Don't have a clue how many watts you are running at the moment though Edited November 9, 2010 by Lost Legacy Quote Honda Accord SirT + Mad sounds = Awesomeness VTEC go BRAAAAAPPPP http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/141261-99-accord-sirt-sq-build/ Alright well i never done the big 3 so i see in my vision my truck on fire... anthonyott99
i am actaully thinking of going the cheapest way out and get a set of the hifonics hfi12d4's and running them with my amp cuz they are DVC and i can wire them down to 2 ohms and get the whole 600 watts !! ant the ninja
Ive got a mrp-500 for 8Oshipped that would power those subs nicely.
