Ryman
So designed my first box and I'm almost done cutting everything but I have a few questions about the port.I'm using the Torres box calculator FYI..... Box Specs Height-17 Width-35 Depth-19.5 Baffle Thickness - 1 inch Port height-15 Width-3.5 Length-19 K first question 2) It says that the port will bend which makes sense but at what point does it bend? My thought process: outside dimensions of depth 19.5 so subtract for the mdf on both sides so that's 17.5 inside the box and you don't want to make the port smaller than 3.5 inches so the bend will occur at 14"? 3) Then say that the turn is at 14" then do you take the mdf size into account and only stretch the port 4 more inches? If I was vague or you didn't understand anything let me know.... Thanks

CJ18
Is your box being built out of all 1" or is the front baffle just 1"?
CJ18
your port will stop 3.5 inches from the back wall and then turn to complete the rest of the port. You also have to remember that the length of the port is not measured by the length of the port walls, but measured down the middle of the port. Ryman
Yeah just thought about that the whole port length being down the middle so which spec is the one i have to build my wall to? the physical port length or the regular length? and the whole box is 1 inch
Ryman
and if it's physical port length then do you have to subtract one inch or is it subtracted for you?
