Just 2, and they kept up with 3 12's ported on about 1200watts decently.

ooh, im running about 3x that RMS an a little bit more cone area though. I have a "400 watt" Hifonics 2 channel amp laying around. IT claims to to 100x2 @ 4 ohms. Would it sound good if I added a set of these or this set of tweetsup front on my dash with that Hifonics?

Nah, I really like them. Tweets are a little on the bright side, but I like them bright.

Do you think I'll be happier with Alpine Type-R Components on a Kicker ZX650.4 amp.

The Rs are rated at 110wrms and the Kicker puts out 120wrms @ 4 ohms. The Rockfords are rated at 60wrms and the Audioque puts out 90x4 at 4ohms. It sounds like common sense, but I just wanna check. Im really worrying about the subs overpowering the mids & highs.
