Carroot1
how does this look. I would fire the port and the subs facing the front of the car because i cut a big hole behind the middle arm rest and the port would fire right there. also my question is its a little below 3.5 my current box is 3.5 but im getting port noise and will it be audible? i plan on upgrading to a aq2200d sometime. EclipseChris
Port noise comes from hard corners inside the box and a small port area. With that setup you will have tons of port area. See where is says "port area range"? Right above "port area" on the right. Try to stay on the larger side of that range for least port noise. Quote i resolve to be a nicer moderator. Carroot1
oh.... so my port is to small?
EclipseChris
Yes sir. Rule of thumb, never go below 15-16 square inches per cubic foot the enclosure is. A 2 cube box should have no less than 30 square inches of port. Does that help at all? Quote i resolve to be a nicer moderator. Tercel build R.I.P. Eclipse build Old New V-Dub My feedback. EclipseChris
sorta but its like impossible to do this right with my dimensions... Send my buddy Kit a PM, he does box designs large and small for a real nice price. If you need to do it all your self start considering aero ports or pvc ports. Carroot1
would it still sound good if i put the subs facing upward?
EclipseChris
Sorry, i don't know. Have never heard a setup where sub and port are not same direction.
