I've heard of the big 3 upgrade and figured I should start that before moving any further in my system.

I'm going to be running:

2 - Alpine MRP-M500 (500W RMS @ 2OHM)

4 - Rockford Fosgate Punch P2D412 (250w RMS {each})

1 - 4 Chanel amp around 500 - 600 RMS, to run the following:

1 Pair - Rockford Fosgate Power T1652-S (100w RMS {each})

4 - Kicker DS6930 6x9 (75w RMS {each})

What I need help with is determining which battery and alternator to go with. I want to run the aftermarket stuff on a completely different power "grid" the the rest of my vehicle. So, a separate battery and alternator just for the aftermarket stuff.

My vehicle is a 1994 Mazda B3000, with electric fan.

I hope what I'm trying to say is clear. Thanks.

DC 300 Watt High Output Alternator is good and XS are good for batteries.

a 300 watt alt would be 20amps :pardon:

but a 300 amp alt would be WAY overkill for this system. since you will have an alt just for the system, a 150amp alt would be plenty for this. of course if you go bigger you will have room to upgrade the amps later. i definitely recommend DCpower alts.

If I answered you in a well mannered, informative way, you asked a good question or had a good attitude. If I was an asshole, you asked a stupid question or you had a fucktard attitude... or I was in a bad mood.
