KckrL5s
A friend came over couple days ago with a problem. He has an old pioneer amp(200watts), he said it was his power wire(4ga to dist.-8ga to amp) I checked it and looked over the rest of the wiring all good. His amp will light up for 1-2 secs and then it will dim and start blinking. His amp is grounded between the seatbelt end and the seat rack that looks like it attaches directly to the body, could this be the problem?? 2009 spring fling-iasca-rookie 1-Champion. 139.4db. roscoe1129
Probably, that is the worst place to ground to. find an area grind the paint off and attatch it the the bare metal. When you use an existing bolt or seatbelt type bracket screw that shit is protected against corrosion which means its covered in crap causing bad connection. Coolwazabi
it could be a problem if its actually bolted something like onto paint insted of bare metal.. and sounds like maybe the gains are set accordingly and its going into protect.. Once again check your ground. a blinking amp is a sure sign of your ground being bad, not being in protect mode. In protect it will power up and the led turns red instead of green, but still is on not blinking.........
