fr34kout Posted November 22, 2010 Report Posted November 22, 2010 There was a couple of threads about this maybe 2 weeks ago? 1 was asking about the product, 1 was a follow up video. You could clearly see when the wave started clipping, although I'm not sure if they ever tried it vs a true Oscope. Maybe ask Art (I think he just picked up a Fluke Oscope recently) or someone if you could test this vs a known good oscope.

dohckiller808 Posted November 22, 2010 Author Report Posted November 22, 2010 i think itll be ok on my highs amp but thats a ton of volts coming from a sub amp. i wouldnt care about blowing the nano. would suck if i blew my amp from this thing.

fr34kout Posted November 22, 2010 Report Posted November 22, 2010 Well the whole point of seeing the wave clipping is to prevent it, if it's no accurate then what's the point of using it? Try it side by side with a known Oscope and see if one shows clipping before the other. If they both indicate clipping at the same time, you're golden.
dohckiller808 Posted November 22, 2010 Author Report Posted November 22, 2010 accuracy as in how fast it reads and how easy it is to see the wave. i doubt any scope no matter how shitty would show a clean audio signal clipped or vise versa. a sine wave is the simplest task for a oscope. im just worried if it can take high voltage input. i also bought a scope for my computer but im not daring to hook it up to a big amp yet.

My 100.4 is bridged so ~300 watts, then can step up to my 4500 which is only about ~2400 clamped before you try the big boy. Up to you.
