Don't feel dumb, asking questions is the only way to learn.

You can go by rated fusing and build for that.

As far as batteries amperage, most batteries can do about 1/4 it's cca rating before dropping voltage. That's a really rough way to look at it though.

Go to missinglinkaudio.com for an MLA. They don't make it for a lot of cars, so call Mechman too.

You'll be better off with a voltage regulator because 14v batteries should be charged around 16.5 volts. Either way, you'd need an voltage regulator
