Couple easy electrical questions

Ok so im planning to upgrade my electrical soon, but i have a few questions

1. how do i get my voltage up to 14

2. how do i figure out which battery to get like lets say i had a 1500 watt amp, how do i tell which battery to get

To get voltage up I'd recommend big 3 and an mla module. That can usually get you a solid 15+ volts. And for you battery most companies will tell you what "wattage" they're batteries are recommended for. If you wanna be at 14v constant I'd say run 14 volt batteries.

Voltage output is governed by the voltage module of the alternator, consult your alt dealer.

As for batteries, it all depends on what you want really. A good underhood battery like a group 34 is good for up to ~1400-1500 wrms and a second in cab battery would be good for say 3000 or so wrms then a third for about 4500 wrms. So expect 1500 per battery and 1 alt per say.. 5000-6000. All general experience though, I can't state these as diehard rules.

To keep voltage up, VCM or MLA, depending on your setup. And also depending on some setups it isn't even needed....LOL Being able to spin the alternator fast enough to sustain XX amount of current and if demand is XX. That is what maintains voltage above 14 on a 12 volt charging system. So it comes down to the what 1500 wrms amp you are talking about. Is it pulling 110 -120 amps, if so then you will just need about 180-200 amp alt depending on vehicle. Need more info for exacts.

Volts*Amperage=watts, so watts/volts=amperes

Don't feel dumb, asking questions is the only way to learn.

You can go by rated fusing and build for that.

As far as batteries amperage, most batteries can do about 1/4 it's cca rating before dropping voltage. That's a really rough way to look at it though.
