I Just Realized Something...

i was looking at parts for my ipod video and i think you can literally just buy all the parts (the shell, logic board, harddrive, battery, etc) and put a whole ipod video together by yourself for CHEAPER than you can buy one in pretty good shape used.

thats pretty cool. Are all the parts you found that actual parts that Apple uses?

ive bought batteries and headphone jack/lock "harnesses" from ebay before. brand new parts. they arent from apple but they are brand new. im seriously thinking about doing this LOL. the most expensive thing will be the logic board.

to be honest its all just plug and play lol. just like 3-4 ribbon cables and a few screws and you're done.
