herbykw Posted December 1, 2010 Report Posted December 1, 2010 I like the cigarette lighter bass knob, so I have to try it myself. I found a lighter with a mounting plate and it fit in the space below my deck. I pullled the heating element out of the lighter, and glued a piece of wire coating in it. Then I removed the knob off my bass knob and pushed the other end of the wire over the end. I had to cut out the back of the little box under my deck to run the wire. I made a cover to cover the side of the bass knob and lighter. I didnt use the existing lighter, i added another. I use a Radar Detector, and cant plug it in anywhere else. It was fairly easy. EDIT: Kenwoods are badass btw. If you like skipping over 145 >_> I have abused mine and it actually took quite a bit to make it skip, but either way now all i use is my ipod.
