fullofpurple
how much thicker is 1/0 gauge welding cable compared to 2/0 welding cable? thanks, also i can get 2/0 for 2.03 shipped and 1/0 is around 3.00 shipped i think im gonna go with 2/0 and use a 200amp fuse or a 250 idk whitch ever i decide, im sure 2/0 can handle more than 200 amps
JZeFF
It really all depends on the company the wire is from, all that matters is the number of strands in the wire and what type of metal the wire is made of... Pure oxygen free copper is the best you can get, Does the website your purchasing from have any information on the strand count in the wire? Also, google knukonceptz, they sell really good wire at a good price... AMI CUSTOMS
2/0 is bigger then 1/0 just FYI but if you mean 2 gauge and not 2/0 then that is something different. 2 gauge will do around 200 amps 1/0 will do 300 amps. kingsuv
Here is a useful chart I like to reference from now and then. http://www.powerstream.com/Wire_Size.htm Designing, building, and shipping boxes. Yahoo IM - kingsuv00If the listening level is too loud, please inform the driver, so he can promptly pull over, and let you out. not many cars can get me to pluggin my ears but this one.......damn. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it.
AMI CUSTOMS
Does that chart give a distance anywhere for chassis wiring cuz that is something to consider as well. I don't consider chassis wiring to be a good source of grounding. Too much variation in cars and the material used. Let alone cars that are uni-body construction.
