805HECTOR9 Posted December 3, 2010 Report Posted December 3, 2010 im runnin focal polyglass components. the front right speaker started making some distortion and has way more excursion then the others on my other doors.it doesnt start actually distorting till i really turn it up. what do you guys think is wrong?im runnin my speakers off an amp. rf p500.4

If it still distorts, turn the gain down more. Voila, you now have your amp correctly tuned so that your speakers will not distort, ever. i suck men dry...email me for details

An easier way, IMO, is to do basically the same thing, but turn the HU all the way up and then go back to the amp and turn it right below the point of distortion. 805HECTOR9 Posted December 5, 2010 Author Report Posted December 5, 2010 i switched the right to the left channel and noticed that it was just my amp that has the fucked up channel because it did the same thing but to the other speaker..so i figured it out..thanks everyone for the help tho.
