hershy314 Posted November 17, 2011 Author Report Posted November 17, 2011 ok so since this build is done and I'm ready to do it again, what changes should I make? http://athphotography.deviantart.com/ http://www.youtube.com/user/hershy314
sundown-e21 Posted November 17, 2011 Report Posted November 17, 2011 What size power wires are you running? Also, the amp can be wired to 2 ohms to get more power to the subs, or just scrap that amp and upgrade to something these will like, like a 1000 watt rms amp. I think you should get one enclosure for the subs. Nice job tho! I just put my first system that im proud of in, but my first "system" i put in i put a power inverter into the back with a home reciever and put a home sub in there.... That was just last year.... Definately upgraded! Good build! 1983 Bmw 320i 5 speed 251000 miles on it Sundown SA-12d2 Big 3 Optima 75-25 Jensen hlx600 150x4 amp Hifonics BRZ-1200.1D for sub in a 1.7ft^3 ~33hz ported box Pioneer USB stereo Bass knob integrated into old fading switch (Sneaky) Lowered on H&R sport springs with bilstein sport shocks (2" drop and handles like a dream) Leave him be. He's just talking shit and laying on his bathroom floor listening to Dashboard Confessional. Let nature take it's course and pump this chick in the butt. Let her know who's boss.

Definately upgraded! Good build! How would I wire it up to 2-ohm? Both amps I'm currently running are 2ch amps. The power wire is getting upgraded cause right now is I wanna say 12 awg from the battery to a distrubtion block then its 8 awg to the amps. I want it all one size. Kinda thinkin bout ordering one from sonicelectronics, yeah I know its still prefabed like I got now. But no time to build one myself and to have one built then shipped would be expensive as hell. I think Monday I'll be adding a "shelf" to the corner of the trunk to hopefully clean those wires up a bit. and also look nicer with the amp sitting level. http://athphotography.deviantart.com/ http://www.youtube.com/user/hershy314
sundown-e21 Posted November 17, 2011 Report Posted November 17, 2011 I would suggest knukonceptz wire. Actual 1/0 gauge for 56 bucks. Then get a dist block. Pay a little now so you don't have to later. I was about to buy it but decided to buy a battery instead. Heres how to wire to 2 ohms bridged: http://a248.e.akamai.net/pix.crutchfield.com/ca/learningcenter/car/subwoofer_wiring/2-SVC-4-ohm-2-ch-low-imp.jpg 1983 Bmw 320i 5 speed 251000 miles on it Sundown SA-12d2 Big 3 Optima 75-25 Jensen hlx600 150x4 amp Hifonics BRZ-1200.1D for sub in a 1.7ft^3 ~33hz ported box Pioneer USB stereo Bass knob integrated into old fading switch (Sneaky) Lowered on H&R sport springs with bilstein sport shocks (2" drop and handles like a dream) Leave him be. sundown-e21 Posted November 17, 2011 Report Posted November 17, 2011 Woops didn't realize they were DVC here you go http://i1231.photobucket.com/albums/ee502/rickyfriery97/8181b5fd.jpg 1983 Bmw 320i 5 speed 251000 miles on it Sundown SA-12d2 Big 3 Optima 75-25 Jensen hlx600 150x4 amp Hifonics BRZ-1200.1D for sub in a 1.7ft^3 ~33hz ported box Pioneer USB stereo Bass knob integrated into old fading switch (Sneaky) Lowered on H&R sport springs with bilstein sport shocks (2" drop and handles like a dream) Leave him be. hershy314 Posted November 17, 2011 Author Report Posted November 17, 2011 Ok I'll give that a try. http://athphotography.deviantart.com/ http://www.youtube.com/user/hershy314
sundown-e21 Posted November 17, 2011 Report Posted November 17, 2011 This will wire it to one ohm. I realized the vcs are 2 ohm not 4 ohm like yours. http://i553.photobucket.com/albums/jj379/BigCProductions99/1_4ohm_dvc_2ohm.gif Instead or wiring to the amp bridged wire it to each channel unless your amp is 1 ohm stable. 1983 Bmw 320i 5 speed 251000 miles on it Sundown SA-12d2 Big 3 Optima 75-25 Jensen hlx600 150x4 amp Hifonics BRZ-1200.1D for sub in a 1.7ft^3 ~33hz ported box Pioneer USB stereo Bass knob integrated into old fading switch (Sneaky) Lowered on H&R sport springs with bilstein sport shocks (2" drop and handles like a dream) Leave him be. hershy314 Posted November 17, 2011 Author Report Posted November 17, 2011 wiring it up like that would only put out 75wx2 at 2 ohms, so thin I'll leave it the way its. The amp is not stable at 1 ohm. http://athphotography.deviantart.com/ http://www.youtube.com/user/hershy314
