Holden
pure OFC 4ga will do 150amps @ 20ft, cca 1/0 should handle ~250 amps, OFC 1/0 should take 375 amps. from how i read it it sounds like they took 2 runs of 4ga and ran them in a distro block in reverse -[fuse]--<======>--- instead of --[fuse]-----<== . if its cheep 4ga or cca 4ga you are looking at ~120 amps or so per run. if you where not ~4 hours away i would come help you out. do you think this wire will be good to use if not i want to get some good wire but this was on sell so thought i would ask Absolute P0-20 (Green) 20 ft. of 0 Gauge Power Wire/Cable It is on sonic electronix for 39.99 instead of $59.99 Quote Chevy Avalanche Z66-BigBlue EditionPioneer AVHX2700BSCheap dont know brand(Front)2 Cadence 6.5"CVL midbass (Rear)2 78 series Autocraft Gold BatteriesStinger Battery Iso.New Mechman 270 amp alternatorLanzar OPTI4000DJbl 75.2DC SoundLab Level 5 18Lots of 1/0 and 4 gauge wiresFew 250/150 amp fusesOriental Blue House of Kolors Candy Paint18" ION alloy 179/Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac 275/70R18
arcwcb
It's pretty hard to tell in the picture, but that jacket looks pretty thick, I really doubt that is true 0 gauge. Just saying man, but if you're dropping that kind of money on a woofer and an amp, spend the little bit extra and get good power and ground wire, there is no sense going cheap on something like that, it can damage your system. You can get 20 ft of true 1/0 from KnuKonceptz, their Kolosus Fleks wire, and it's only $68 for actual 1/0 that is going to be way more flexible and easier to run. gcs8
or you can order by the foot (http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=KFX0R)or in 50ft chunks. of if you want cheaper 1/0 wire you can use the CCA (http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=KCA0BK) witch is rated for 250 amps instead of the OFC witch is rated for 375 amps. i have both CCA and OFC. the OFC is a lot heaver but oh so sexy and its easier to work with as far as getting it in connectors and terminals. Holden
What about box sizing.(6.5cub.)(7/7.5cub.) (lets say i did 10/11 cubes not going to but what would the difference be). I know people gave me a few suggestion and i was wanting to know a little more like, would the bigger/smaller box make higher db, more air movement, whatever else you could think of would help just trying to make everything perfect. JaM Customs aka mprete
i dont think anyone answered you about a site to use to make urls, i really like to use photobucket. its free and very sinple to use. but i do want to throw out there that i used 2g wire for my power and ground and im only running a 1000w amp. and thats peak so nothing near what your going to be running. granted its monster wiring so its probably really more like true 4g but the point is if it were me i would do it once with true 0g wiring.
