SLayTaN
I'm wanting to run 2 pairs of Rockford Fosgate T1652-s Comps and want to run them via 2 amps. 4 channel amp for the mids and a 4 channel amp for the tweeters. I'm looking at getting a RF T600-4ch for the mids and a T400-4 for the tweeters. Would this work well? Or would it be an overkill for these speakers. Speakers are already brought so I'm just after advice with RF amps. I don't see a 75 watt rms 4 channel RF amp available to run the tweeters at there full potential. So with the mids at full potential on the T600/4, would the tweeters on a T400/4 amp keep up with the mids and still sound magic or would I need to get a T600/4 amp for the tweeters as well and have the gain turned down to suit the tweeters max 75watts rms? What do you think? A T600/4 and a T400/4 or a pair of T600/4's? Or something else? Got to be Rockford Fosgate. Quote Why do my neighbours hate loud music? dmanson
U could run a T600-2 on the 2 sets of components, run it at 2 ohms. That T600-2 will do 300rms x 2 @ 2ohm, that's a lot of juice, remember their amps r underrated big time. And why do you want to over power them so much? A single T600-4 would run them perfectly, all of them. SLayTaN
I didn't think it would be over powered. The mids are rated at 100 watts rms and the tweets are 75 watts rms. The T600-4 puts out 100 rms per channel so that would match up nice to the mids and the T400-4 puts out 60 rms per channel and would run the tweeters nicely through the crossovers. I don't have a signal processor unit connected. Edited December 12, 2010 by SLayTaN Quote Why do my neighbours hate loud music?

RF amps are WAY underrated! SLayTaN
I was thinking of running the crossovers in Bi-amp mode. Is it not necessary to do so? I just want the speakers running at there full potential. By the sound of it perhaps a T600-4 will be good enough running the crossovers in standard mode. SLayTaN
Ok I have made a purchase for a Rockford Fosgate T600-4 + PEQ Remote on Ebay for $359.99 US + $70 postage. Now the wait begins..... If I brought it on ebay from a dude in Australia I would of had to pay $679 + $35 postage and with no PEQ remote in the purchase. USA FTW!!!!!! Longer wait but worth it. I just think how much beer have I just saved my self and slurp away on every case as I wait here very content I need to become a Rockford Fosgate dealer here in Australia and make Rockford Fosgate a name here in Australia. Everyone I have told here about my RF purchases have never heard of RF before. I see a chance to make a name for such a great brand here in Australia. I'm all in to promote RF here and sell it but where do I start? Edited December 13, 2010 by SLayTaN Quote Why do my neighbours hate loud music? SLayTaN
A personal thankyou goes out to Steve Meade who has got me into building a Rockford Fosgate setup. I have watched 90% of your videos and have seen both builds for the tahoe x 2 and that other little jigger. So to you man I say thanks for getting me into a mindset for making a system that is gonna thump once I get everything in place. It's not gonna happen overnight but it will happen further down the track. God I wish I made more money hahahaha. Postage from the US is very painful. Everything I have brought costs $70+ in postage. So far $210 in postage on 3 items. The next thing is gonna be a subberoonie setup. Again FI is not available here in Australia so postage is gonna be x4 a killer.. I'm expecting the postage is gonna be the same price as the Fi subs are worth.. Distance really sux sloppy cockaroonies... But hey I'm in for the thrill and eager to KILL!!!!
