01 Impala, dual 12" level 3 DC build

Well here goes. I currently the 01 Impala with 2 15" Lanzar MXW subs on a Hifonics bxi 1606 at 4 ohms. They are in about 1.75ft^3 each sealed and to me they sound good. I recently bought a DC level 3 12" that I will be building a box for when I get out of school after this coming week! On to the pics.

1 Hifonics bxi 1606

Scosche 6ga. wiring

Vr3 headunit with 2volt pre-outs (so I could use a much nicer one now )

2 Kicker KS600 in the doors

2 Kicker SSMB6 mids in the center pod

All front stage no rears

...Later this week I will swap out my current subs for a DC level 3 12"

First day the car was home, everything still stock, bumper another color, windshield very cracked, worn down tires, all the works...

After some paint, a new windshield, and tires!

And the car was stuck in that phase for a while. When I got it it was just a drop in process and I went on with it like nothing. Just this past summer I went crazy buying things and upgrading a thing here and there.

Tied up to my work bench, and some poor soldering job, but it works...

Next thing I did was buy myself some new speakers as the stock ones had no surround and you could hear the cone wobbling. *(got these from JBurt09 on here)*

Installed, although you can't tell but it's the only pic I have

Next purchase was a US Amps MD-42 which I did not want but decided to keep. Long story short an MD1D was ordered but I decided to keep the one they sent anyways.

Next I went on to buy what seemed to me like a great deal and I approve of my choice to this day and on. I got a standard MLA module *(Which was bought from Audioman21 on here)*

The fun is always short lived, I always like to upgrade something at some point. SO I decided to take on a fiberglass project which I was happy with the turnout. I have a build log for it here in the fabrication section

It was fun and I like the whole process that I cannot wait to work on the doors one day, and I want to make some unique (I think) modifications to it.

So this whole time I'd been running both my 15" subs on that Kicker zx460 4 channel for the longest time and came across a deal I couldn't refuse this past October-ish

First power up and I re-did my sub wiring with 10 gauge I think it is. It doesn't say but it's a lot bigger than the 16 gauge it had so why not.

So LED's I got for interior lighting and sorry for the bad pics, didn't realize how bad they were until I saw them in my computer.

Recently I bought some mids from CJ18 on here, and all I can say is I love the mids! I switched out the MTX's in the center pod with two of these as I have four. I will do a set per door when I get to that point in the build.

Becuase I never had one and really wanted to see my voltage I bought a stinger voltage meter a while back but took the easy way out on installing it. I will eventually re-wire and move it up front.

My car broke down on me... a week ago, it was heating up bad right after turning it on, so the engine was gutted and new header gaskets and a whole bunch of other stuff was added and done to it all while leaving a huge whole in the wallet.

And the most recent of updates and what I look forward to on Wednesday and/or Thursday once I'm home from school, THE REBUILD!!! For the first time I will have heard a ported box

And what I'll be doing for it. And the sub will sit flush! Once I know I start the box, I will attempt to nominate myself for system of the month

N8, this is where I kinda stopped, did quite a bit more and here goes.

Had it about half a month like that before I found another level 3 that I traded for a 4 channel amp, so then I had two and started planning out my next(current) box build

Got me some new tools for the build

Needed a sheet and a half for this one
