GTCharged Posted December 20, 2010 Report Posted December 20, 2010 Just a (hopefully) quick question. For some reason, when trying to catch my system bumping in a video, the video comes out silent. Well, not silent, but whenever the bass hits, even if I'm standing 10-15ft from my car, all the video shows is a low hum. Any help from people who have taken videos of their system? (probably all of you hahaha). Edit: Also, any tips on where to go to make a video? The neighbors don't appreciate their houses shaking, and I don't like to deal with the audio nazis (police). BanginOnABudget Posted December 20, 2010 Report Posted December 20, 2010 i live 1/4 a mile from a culdasack bird sanctuary thing, its like 1500 feet from any houses, works pretty nice for me, you could try a car parking lot late at night, or go on google maps and look for some local abandoned lots or roads. back in the day when i had a hifonics 10" on 100 watts in my moms van, a lady from across the street came over and was like "can you turn that fucking shit off! im trying to watch tv and i cant even hear myself think!" lol a hifonics 10" on 100 watts.... fucking halarious. but yeah, you need a different camera, or you need to modify your mic. if you dont wanna take your camera apart, you need a new camera, if you're recording on a phone, then i think we both know why your shit wont pick up bass. hope this helped a little. im taking out my passenger seat, battery is disconnected, going to unwire and take out the three amps, take out the 70+ lb box, then the platform so i can crimp 1 wire. Almost as bad as those fegs that put those horns in their grills and roll down the street distorting the block.... 1990 Jeep Cherokee 2 Dr. Big-3 in 0g on Stock Alt. Thanks for the advice. And I'm using a Nikon P80, not old by any means, but not the shiniest thing on the block. I'm stuck now haha. I was going to lift my car about 6-8" as a xmas present to myself, but now I'm debating a better cam... I think the car wins.
