NathanRobinson Posted December 24, 2010 Report Posted December 24, 2010 hey guys, i have a box in my truck that i really dont want to get rid of, its 12 cubes and tuned to 30hz and is made for 2 15s. i have 1 hdc3 15 in there now and it sounds amazing but i feel like the box is too big and too low for it, although im only running an aq1200 at 2 ohms on it. i was wondering if there were any better 15s suited in at 6 cubes tuned to 30hz? heres a pic of my box; any help would be appreciated http://carphotos.cardomain.com/ride_images/4/505/869/38760434007_large.jpg edit: btw im going to be running an aq3500d to both subs

iKidwell Posted December 24, 2010 Report Posted December 24, 2010 6 cubes per 15?? make the holes 3 inches bigger and do 18's.. c'mon now, if i was shooting an 8 year old, it wouldnt be MY 8 year old. i recently got a Pyle PL1590BL and i was building an enclosure for it tuned to 25 hz. i didn't have any tools to cut a circle so i hit it with a big hammer. 2003 Infiniti G35 Sport Sedan Build in Progress

pthrift Posted December 24, 2010 Report Posted December 24, 2010 ....box is huge. If you're worried that 18's won't fit; add more internal bracing to eat up more of that airspace in the box. But you should call your buddy and ask If it's 6cu.ft. before or after displacement.
