4th order help

im thinking about doing a 4th order with 2 18" lvl 4 with lvl 5 coils and i dont know what 2 tune the ported part to

i have 21hX40wX55l to play with

right now i have the sealed side at 7.95 with the sub dis and 14.20 be4 the port and the 3/4 rod for bracing

so can any one tell me a good hz 2 tune it at

45 Hz.

14 square inches of port per cube. 4 - 8 cubes on the sealed side. depending on your power, and 8 - 24 on ported side.

with your available space, i would do 5 - 6 cubes sealed, with 10 - 18 cubes ported. id probably start with 6 sealed and 18 ported. i wouldnt glue anything in except the outer walls/shell, and then start testing. i would also put the magnets in the ported chamber. to shrink the chambers just start adding more layers to the shell.

My boy dwright knows a lot already about 4th orders, i do think what he´s telling you is a very good advice, with that amount of power you woul have to build a small sealed chamber, i would try a 3:1 ratio, 4 c/f on sealed chamber and 12 c/f on the ported with a 45 hz tuning, 18 SQ of port per cubic feet so you can shrink the port area testing everything.

Try 8, 12 and 16 for ported side. That's total size. Test test and test some more
