Orion HCCA 12.4 Box help!

Hi guys!!

im new in this, i just bought a Orion HCCA 12.4 (the one with the silver cone)and already have a box but this box sounds like a 10" and not like a hcca 10", many friends told me its the port ´cuz its only 2" and told me to change it to 4" to have a real HCCA bass, but i only have this space 34.7 x 16 x 14.2, some ideas!?

I tried to use the torres box tuning calculator but i didnt know how to input the port dimmensions, the first box was made on the re calculator

ah i almost forgot im running it with 2 linked suono 1500.1d 3000rms @ 2ohm well something like 2500 rms to be more reallistic

After reading your topic there´s something i don´t understand, is it a 12.4 or a 10.4???? by the size of the box on your RE Calculator, i guess it´s a 12" HCCA right?? anyways, PORT IS WAY TOO SMALL!!!! Before building a new box for it, i would modificate that one , i think you can make it WAY louder without spending time and money on a new one.

Said that, i would get the port 2" Wide and 27" long, that would shrink the box internal space to around 2.3 cubic feet after displacement giving you around 16 SQ of port per cubic feet and a 36 hz tuning, i would do that before building a new box, but that´s just me

Thanx for the reply fecupe, but im about to rebuilt my installation, im gonna take off the back seat to make a bigger box, and i the box cant be modificated, it has alot o screws and resin, i tried to pull the top side out and with out the screws it almost broke
