bigkevy
hello, im wanting to build a box for 2 18" btls. this is what i have came up with 1ts about 13.8 ft^3 net volume, the port area per foot is 14.5 inches squared with 200 inches of port area and tuned to 32hz. will this sound pretty good? it will be just a daily set up powered with 2 aq2200s and sufficient electrical upgrades Edited January 2, 2011 by bigkevy Quote 2007 mustang Boyo avn701d hifonics bxi2610 2 olm 2415s hifonics 100.4 2 infinity 6x8s 2 kicker comp cvt 8s
thirdchances
Lot of port area per cubic foot but size sounds nice.
hdorre
Lot of port area per cubic foot Not really. Op, I'd make the box about 15-16 cubes (if possible) because of the little power you have. The box you designed would work, but you'd get more output from the bigger box. What options do the BTLs have? If you get D2s, it'll allow you to strap the amps on your subs. Yes, your box would allow for bigger amps. Getting fully loaded BTLs allow one to put double the RMS on one sub and play it daily (if you know what you're doing) Meade was running 4k+ to his BTLs. When he took them out of the box, he said they were still stiff. TeamHT is running a Rockford T40001bd on each of his BTLs.
