eric78702
I was told that I can only get a 220 amp alt for my cr-v and I was wondering how many xs d1400 batteries can it take?
skittlesRgood
as many as you can fit If I answered you in a well mannered, informative way, you asked a good question or had a good attitude. If I was an asshole, you asked a stupid question or you had a fucktard attitude... or I was in a bad mood. Well, what are you going to be running? Amp model number and RMS wattage? Now, those are 14V batteries, and unless you plan on running step down modules you won't be able to charge them properly... I was thinking about running 2 aq2200 or 2 crescendo 3k's.
eric78702
You need to address the voltage issue before worrying about how many your alternator can charge... What do you mean?
eric78702
You need to address the voltage issue before worrying about how many your alternator can charge... What do you mean? What I mean is, the XS Power D1400 is a 14V battery, that will NOT be able to be charged by your alternator, unless you have is pumping out 16V. In which case you'd need a stepdown module to convert the 16V alt charge down to a useable amount for the vehicle... Just get other batteries... Go with 3 3100's... The reason why I asked is because I called mechman alternators today and he told me to get a 220 amp alt and 2 d1400 batteries.

AMI CUSTOMS
Why would he need step down modules for 14 volt batts? You only need step-downs for 16 volt. I don't know but today I called Ohio generators and they told me they have a 300 amp alt and I was thinking why did mechman alternators say I could only put a 220 amp alt?
