Have you found a dual alt kit for your car? If not, that'd be the first thing u need to do. If a dual alt cant be done, you'll need to reconsider this plan.

Dual alts can be done on a civic, just need a custom bracket done. The biggest drawback is you lose your a/c. But it will be worth it. :cheer:

If your sure about that, i'd do the 12kw. It'll do 18kw @ 18v, which is about 4500w per sub. The 16kw @ 18v puts out 24kw, which is 6kw per sub. I wouldnt do 6kw per sub daily.

My build is simular to yours. I'm doing 4 Lvl5 18's. Im running the 16kw at 16v's tho, which puts me at 22.4kw.

I didnt realize the 12k actually jumped that high with 18v. I was quoted 22xxx watts at 18v for the 16k. At 18v I'm only putting out about 300 amps at idle with two mechman alts, so I think 10 batteries should suffice. If need be I can fit more though, so I'm not too worried about it.

The SD's will have approx 50% increase at 18v & approx 40% @ 16v.

Yea, 10batts at 16 or 18 would be great. I personally just ordered 8 from XS.
