thecityxignites
i noticed no one explained clipping. clipping is when you square off a sine wave, which in turn sends dirty power to your woofers and burns out voice coils. 2001 chevy cavalier Rebuild in progress what happens when your CD player skips and you accidentally drop a 22 hz sine bomb at an unholy volume on 7-8 year old subs? Mechanical failure floppy sub knockage on at least 2. well...as i see the level 6 is compared to a lamborghini.....but a corvette? i was thinking more like a chevy volt. its cute and new and "hip", but i would just rather stick my dick in a blender......... zachfowler222
idk if its been said but your ground wire should be the same size or bigger then the power wire.... also ground less then 2 feet... NRG
man sort the wiring out. glad i asked lol as that there is a mess. buy an amp wiring kit. power wire fail ground fail speaker wires = fail by the look of it unless your amp is ++-- usually there +-+- amp? 2 channel ? gain settings ? swop rca's see if it moves to opposite speaker. techforce
oh lawdy. Here man, take my advice and do everything I tell you. Ditch the fuck out of those wires. Throw them in a pit and burn them to hell. Order about 25 ft of this https://www.knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=KFX8R Run that from the battery up front to the amps +. Fuse it with a 50@ fuse and call it a day. Oh, a fuse? Oh yes here's one for that power wire. https://www.knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=FH-44 select 50a fuse and youre done. Now you need a ground, first invest in some of this. http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc1v/R-202241219/h_d2/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10051&catalogId=10053 sand away at a spot and make yourself a nice 3 ft strand of 8 gauge wire. Oh, glad you asksed, here's some! https://www.knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=KFX8BK Now im assuming your remote wire is a hunk of shit, so here's some new wire. Follow the one that's already there and replace it. https://www.knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=KOL18BL-20 Also youre going to need some ring terminals so here's some. https://www.knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=RT8516BK Now, get your self some decent speaker wire and re-wire those subs. Take em out of the box and show us the wiring job on em. My guess is it looks like spaghetti. Run the power wire from the front battery, and fuse it with that fuse i showed you about 18" away from the front battery. Proceed to the amp and connect it to the + terminal. Next connect the negative run to the amp, and secure it to a sanded spot on the metal on your car. Bolt it down. Re run the remote wire so you know that;s good too, and wont cause any problems. Redo the speaker wire once we find out if they work and what ohms they are. LMAO!!! Good lord!

wilkinschunilall
Did you fix the problem and when you said bundle did the subs come installed already in the box? If all else fails check to see if the subs are wired propally i had a friend buy a box from BestBuy and it was wired totally wrong cause the "phase" problem. IMO i would try that
