I'm with Purplehaze on this, don't rule something out just cause it isn't popular on the forums, Powerbass mids/highs sound great and so do JL,RF and i am sure many others.

I think I'm feeling digital designs on this build. Although I wouldn't mind putting JL, RF, Kicker, or Alpine in it. I know of lots of people that enjoy those brands that were very satisfied with the results.

great build man.. i like the numbers on your old setup on your signature! it made me think about doin 2 10" type x's in my 2000 cougar.. keep it up on the build! gonna be frickin loud! lol

Thanks Nick!

Yeah my old Type X 12 served me very well. My only complaint was that it didn't it the lows at all, but damn did it slap between 38-45 hertz and I hit those numbers with a box tuning of 32 hertz yet!

I am not sure what the problem was with it not hitting lows. It had two cubic feet of box space which was adequate, it was tuned at 32 hertz, it had enough power going to it, I am just not sure what the problem was.

So if you are to do the two type X 10's I would have to say tune higher, maybe around 36 hertz? Because there was more potential for higher numbers from that Type X 12. I think it wanted more power too! Like around 1200-1400?

But arn't your SA-12's doing you well? Those are Badass subs dude!

She is soon gonna get her coat of paint. Just some fine tuning and we are good to go. The bottom of the box is facing up, we put some resin on the bottom just to make sure everything is nice and water sealed, i have a feeling there may be some small water leakage coming from my back window 8)

Threw it on the meter today, burped a 145.00 at 54Hz. Ugly wave, but decent score. Gains back down and I'm playing music at 143.xx with clean waves. Problem is my impedance rise, so I already have thoughts for a recone to a lower load, drop from D2 to D1. Hmm

Stuff is goin down, upcoming build
