drlovebangin318s
ok.. i got 3 18's in the trunk of a 95 deville... the box is 12.9 ft^3 and is ported ... it has 5 3 inch ports at 3.5 inchs long its tune 36hz... it hits hard... everyone tells me its the loudest in town of about 30k people.. but im not claiming that.. but back to my point... if i close up the ports and seal them would it be a large sealed box compared to a small ported box?? and would it hit harded or louder?? so should i seal it up????? and if i seal it up would it still get low?? dr.db
Sealed will give you a little greater power handling capability and a smoother slope, but a correctly ported enclosure will be louder around the (tuning)frequency. It all depends on what your going for. ChevyBoy
it might even get louder since its way too small for ported. wont know until you try. if its just pvc, just get some pvc caps and put them on and try that.

ChevyBoy
it might get lower since it wont stress the sub going below its tuning. and i still think less than 5 cubes is too small even for bare minimum ported.
