I have 2 Alt options. 1st is a 130 amp idle at 600RPM, 320 amp max at 1400RPM at 14.6 V. The 2nd is a 135 amp idle at 600RPM, 240 amp max at 1800RPM which has adjustable volt output. I want to know which would be my best bet cause both are almost same price but this is going to be my 1ST time buying a HO ALT. and i want to spent wisely. BTW both are top brands in HO ALTS. If you're running small ones, the bigger alt gives you room to upgrade. GioRF Posted February 1, 2011 Author Report Share Posted February 1, 2011 Just checked the real specs on the 320AMP ALT and at idle it puts out only 100 AMPS. But the 240AMP ALT is 135 AMPS. at idle.
