How many Ohms? [Detailed Drawing]

Recommended Posts

What are the sub ohm loads? D4 or D2? if D4 ur getting about 2 ohms is D2 then ur getting about 1 ohm per sub

I dont know how mnay ohms the subs are thats why i said what they are so someone could help me. I have tried to search how many ohms they are but didnt find anything. All i know is that the amp is stable down to 1 ohm.

If D2, it would be 0.5 ohms.

If D1, it would be 0.25 ohms.

Get D1 coils, wire the coils in series on each sub, then parallel the 2 subs for a 1 ohm load.

Note - you have the positive and negative reversed as you pass through the box connections in your picture :-)

Current system:

1997 Blazer - (4) Customer Fi NEO subs with (8) American Bass Elite 2800.1s

Previous systems:

2000 Suburban - (4) BTL 15's and (4) IA 40.1's = 157.7 dB at 37 Hz.

1992 Astro Van - (6) BTL 15's and (6) IA 40.1's = 159.7 dB at 43 Hz.

Measure the subs with an ohm meter. If it reads 0.7 ohms on each coil, they are D1. If 1.4 ohms, they are D2.

Either way, series parallel is going to be the safest bet.
