REaudioBuff Posted February 3, 2011 Report Posted February 3, 2011 I have an offer to trade my subs plus money for an Orion HCCA 15.4.. Im just wondering how they stack up against things like DC AA and T3 to name a few... Are they worth it, do they handle power well, will it slam lows like crazy in a good box? Just looking for input on guys that have ran it or been around them more than myself which is very limited... 1 Crossfire XS v2 15" 2 Deka group31a's 1 XS Power D3400 (under hood) 1 Addictive Audio 500.1 1 Rockford 3sixty.2 4 Crescendo pwx 6.5s 2 Pyle Pro Super tweets 1 Crescendo 1000c4 Kenwood excelon x494 Head unit Big Three upgrade All 0 gauge of course 1 4.56c^ft box @28hz (New Best official db score= 151.2 @ 36hz)

dugee81 Posted February 3, 2011 Report Posted February 3, 2011 i owned a 12" HCCA and loved listening to it every second i could. i was very sad to depart with it, i regret it right now. but i would not trade 2 subs for 1. if you got 2 hcca's on those 2 2500's, that would be awesome. very powerful woofers 200a alt. by Excessive Amperage hc800 under hood & 2 Deka 9a31 in rear 1/0awg + big 3 SAZ 3000D HDC3 18" @ 2 ohm

dugee81 Posted February 3, 2011 Report Posted February 3, 2011 yeah if you throw that orion in a smaller car that would be brutal, my 12" was awesome in my little sedan. if youre into trying new things, i say go for it. the HCCA doesnt disappoint 200a alt. by Excessive Amperage hc800 under hood & 2 Deka 9a31 in rear 1/0awg + big 3 SAZ 3000D HDC3 18" @ 2 ohm

Do you recommend any size of box and tunage? I am thinking something like 30-32hz tuning but i dont have too much room to play with being that im putting my seats back in. Im gonna design a box and put it up here cause i dont know the best way to port the damn thing... 1 Crossfire XS v2 15" 2 Deka group31a's 1 XS Power D3400 (under hood) 1 Addictive Audio 500.1 1 Rockford 3sixty.2 4 Crescendo pwx 6.5s 2 Pyle Pro Super tweets 1 Crescendo 1000c4 Kenwood excelon x494 Head unit Big Three upgrade All 0 gauge of course 1 4.56c^ft box @28hz (New Best official db score= 151.2 @ 36hz)
