SMZ2's Xterror. 1st Hairtrick!

this is goin' somewhere. I like it!

Now are 6th orders primarily for test tones or rather more for SQ?

Well based on the design it should play down to 32Hz and a little lower and all the way up to 55Hz so it should be pretty loud compared to my old box and have a sweet range for listening to just about anything... I hope haha.

Actually the upper cutoff for your box is 65 hz. It starts tapering off above that frequency. But in my experience, 6th orders have no problem playing below the lower tuning frequency.

Just say no to Ground Pounder Customs.

More box builds

some cars do over 170db with one sub, so clearly my two 12"s can do that in my car, with my knowledge too! look out bitches!

I'm with captain stupid.

I'm cutting out the port in the next couple of minutes for the test fit do I need to go ahead and put in the bracing or wait until I after I dry fit the sub? Also I may have to trim the bracing my box width came up less than a half inch short... anyway time for some belt sander destruction pictures! 20120818_142411.jpg

6th order has amazing sound quality and capability to play loud. The 6th order was developed and patented by Bose for use in their in home systems but they have also developed an 8th order bandpass. 7th order is strictly a one note wonder for SPL. I've got a 10" Eclipse Titanium in a 6th order and that thing RIPS!
