Was at the shop messing around yesterday. Got the wall sealed off now we'll get to building the port and loading wall/ trim pieces etc.

  • 4 weeks later...

Been tied up with school and work but I did get a little done.

New rockford goodies, no 3sixty.3 yet:/

one layer in for the loading wall. Still have layers to add and bracing/angle iron

20140411_222602_zps9nymgd3u.jpg

got the port in to do some testing. Started off with less than half my cone area. This port is 261 sq in. Tuned to 47 hz

20140416_145507_zps8i9ixpei.jpg

Tried metering again but my rise is still too low so the amps protect before I can get a full burp. Does a 50.9 @30 hz in the driver kick with both windows down and both doors shut. If I open the door the amps protect sooner. Gonna finish the rest of the wall/ bracing/ bodywork/ paint and if rise is still too low I'll just run a D9 at .5 ohm. My rise just isn't high enough for .25 ohm burps but music I'm fine. I will say though. Without testing the port on whether or not to shrink etc. It plays loud and low. Moves a lot of air. 52.9 38hz-50hz then amps protected before i could have a full burp. So once it's dialed in I should have no problems with mid 50s. Port isn't rounded over yet either. Basically starting from the bottom and testing each step of the way to see how much/ the progress of its gaining
