Karkov Posted October 3, 2014 Report Share Posted October 3, 2014 You could try kicker zx1500, fosgate t1500BDCP, and a few other choices. not quite 2k at 2 ohms, but probably all a solid 1500...btw your sub is a dual 2? then you only need a 1 ohm stable amp or am i missing something? he wants to add another sub and those amps prolly go over his budget. I was afraid of the efficiency diminishing @0.5ohm At this point, I need to either up my voltage to feed an amp @14.4, which will cost money. Or, spend over my budget for a good amp that will power me @2ohms. So as a general rule, amps are more efficient at a higher impedance? I would splurge for a 2k @2ohms if it meant better efficiency. Hell there was a zx1500 for 150 local to me that didnt sell for weeks.A Fosgate t1500-bdcp should be able to picked for about 350.
