When you were talking about the 45s inside the box on pressure points, why not try making some 50s or 72s etc, soundwaves bouncing off at different angles should have some effect also, or inside the box, ducttape the wires coming off the back of the sub together basically filling in the open V section between them so instad of the soundwaves being split between them, its bouncing off a solid piece of tape.

or use 2x 45s right behind the back of the sub in the middle of the box _/\_ so the waves are split and flow around the sub towards the port in 2 directions.

spray Teflon on the inside walls of the box, it works on frying pans so maybe soundwaves will slide off better?

If you want to get into more technical subjects, check the barometric pressure before burping, different altitudes etc

Full tank of gas, car weighs more, less overall vibration between car and ground?

empty tank, car should vibrate a bit more

i dont have a TL as of yet...still broke, and since im JUST starting to get into SPL, but i always have ideas.

hell, if by some chance anyone here has way too much cash, just get someone to carve the sub box out of a solid piece of marble or granite lol

try corregated pipe instead of pvc, or only flare the left half of it on the inside and right half on the outside

Once again, i´m trying to spend as less money and time as i can, also, this it´s a free job i´m doing for the owner of the box so i´m not doing everything at my full capacity lol, anyways, here´s a picture of the box as it was given to me:

The porpouse of this it´s easy, the guy wants to raise his score some tenths, so i´m woking on it, first thing was to burp, peak it´s at 45 hz, box sounds AMAZING and i actually was kind of sorprised by the score, taking into account that sub back/port back in my explorer suck ass, also, didn´t play with gains, box positioning, tuning or anything, anyways, here it goes:

First thing was to try taking out the carpet of the box, i started only with the baffle so i could see if it gained or not:

Now, took out the whole carpet:

Gained a little bit more

Gotta hate those fucking carpets lol, at the end of this testings, i´m gonna try painting the outside of the box with a nice smooth paint, we´ll see if it gains a little bit.

Now, time for some flares, i actually think it ended up looking SEXY as hell, it only took me about 20 minutes to do this since i didn´t have my tape measure, here it goes:

This is some free 3/4" PVC someone gave me, i only cutted a little line in half and got it on the port, fit very tight so i didn´t need screws or anything for this test at the beggining, i did put some duct tape tho.

Ok, on the right side of the port, since the tube doesn´t fit like the other 3, i had to cut the PVC in half and hold it with some duct tape

Final product, as you can see, no screws just yet

Not bad for only about 45 minutes of work, raised 0.7 dbs so far, tomorrow, i´ll get some screws on the flares, roundover the hole of the sub, flare the port internally and get some sexy ass printing vinyl inside the box, so more updates tomorrow

Yeah man, nightshade was absolutely right, 0.3 dbs he said and it was exactly that, i never knew exactly how much it hurts the score, now i know!!

Thanks man, i didn´t invent this idea but i always wanted to try it, and , first time EVER i do a flare like this, i´m kind of dumb when it comes to using my hands for anything except on bed with a chick lol, so , if it took me that little amount of time and effort, you should do it even faster and easier
