hdrox88
I have done some quick searching and can't seem to find any answer. I remember reading somewhere that it was bad for the amp. So, if the box is properly built(3/4" MDF and good bracing) is there any problem in mounting amps to a box?

Do not mount any amp on your box unless it is a last resort, if you do put rubber bushings between the amp and the box to dampen the vibrations. Maxxsonics-Mike
It is very bad for the amplifier. As soon as you mount the amp to the box, the amp, board and all components absorb every bit of vibration. Meades' setup is different, he has very little flex from over building his enclosure. If at all possible, avoid mounting any amps to enclosures. As suggested above, if you have no choice then atleast use rubber spacers in between the feet and the box. Some looked great some looked terrible. Just a thought about placement. Thinking about a rollcage looking amp rack in my ext. cab Dakota. I feel your pain man we dont get much space to begin with. Good luck man.
