CJtech323
Just got out on summer break and decided it was time to build a new box. I had had a crappy 1.0ft^3 sealed box in there for it and it was crisp, but the output just wasn't there, so it was time to go ported. Here is the graph showing the difference in outputs This is the sub going in, quite a beast if I say so myself: And this is the old peice of shit box coming out So I went to Lowes, got a sheet of MDF and got started. Marking out my cuts: If you dont have the right tools, Make Them! Everything all cut up: Tasty stuff: First I started with the port: Then I moved on to the box: Well thats all of the pics i have uploaded, I'll get some more up tomorrow and post 'em. Comments are appreciated! Edited May 29, 2008 by CJtech323
Forevrbumpn
nice design and I dont care what anyone says, those subs AINT BAD AT ALL Ive installed many of them, and they get loud Quote I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy. Painting the port walls: And here is the box all finished, just needs carpet and speaker terminals: And the install into the car, just ignore the rat's nest wiring for now, its gonna go away once I figure out where to put my amp. EDIT: Forgot to add the link to my vid I made of the new box, a lot louder than the old one. Edited May 28, 2008 by CJtech323

First side done Second side done All the holes cut out Tied 2 lengths of wires together to run from the sub to the terminal And then soldered them to the terminal Then screwed everything in Put it into the car Made an amp rack/stand carpeted it The t1500-1bd screwed on

~digital~bass~
your reading it wrong...no box will give you a 12db gain in any freq...SCIENTIFICLY 12db gain would have to be 4x the cone area and 4x the power...and the adding of cone area will have to be added on the same plain...
