This is not an over the top build, in fact, I wouldn't even consider this 'post' worthy, but, it's my build, it is what it is.

Gear to be used:

'05 Pioneer DEH-4800MP head-unit (oldie but a goodie.... hpf, sub out freq. control, mp3/sat/i-pod, etc.)

2 X Infinity Reference 311a

2 X Pioneer TS-W308D4

Pioneer Mids

Audiobahn Highs (can't believe I still had these laying around!)

600+ RMS @ 2ohms on two 12's is not much for slap, it is a start though. The design for this build basicaly converts the trunk to one big ass isobaric box. Two Drivers, facing each other, @ rear of trunk, only ported. I will retain the use of my space-saver spare. Gotta be practical :) Only until I add a 3rd amp and driver!

Victim: 1997 Honda Civic LX

Torn down and awaiting Dynamat and Foam:

Some of the gear (what I have aquired thus far):

2 X Infinity Reference 311a, and one soon to be two Pioneer TS-W308D4 (Dual 4 ohm coils)

Next update will be box and amp rack build pics. Next purchases include the 2nd Pioneer Driver, and a H/O alternator.

Comments / Suggestions / CONSTRUCTIVE criticism appreciated.

I'm getting pretty excited at this point. I still have to pick up my second 12", some 8 guage speaker wire, some more MDF, more peel-n-stick to finish my trunk lid and wheel wells, and something to coat my boxes and amp rack in, probably some roll-on bed-liner coating.

It's been a busy few days!!

Bakor foil skin. It's a roofing product from the local Home Hardware. 6" x 10' roll = $14.00 + taxes. (5 sq ft. per roll)

Thx!

Another couple angles of the amp rack... I'm going to have to have four angled brackets tacked together to mount those amps properly. I have a distribution block for my power.....and what's nice about these amps is that they have an RCA output, which the manufacturer claims has no voltage drop from amp to amp...they're powerful little monblocks though.
