Get some CA Glue from groundpounder and re glue the part that came lose.

Ok ill tell you how I did mines You get wire taps that pinch the wire and so you get a connection and then mount your switch to where it needs to be and just use speaker wire and go to the wire tap on the remote wire, I can get pics of how I did mines if you would like?

Just mute on the headunit doesn't turn the amp off if your wanting to turn the amp off like I do sometime's you will need a switch for that.

Just run one wire to the headunit and then where you want a toggle switch wire it into the wire and there you go. I did that in my car. No need for two wires just one will work with a switch

Well since I have the knob on its way to me tomorrow all I need now is some covers does anyone know a place I could buy them or anyone that has some? I want some chrome ones
