is this a good or bad alarm? and any idea if I can fix it at home, shop job, swap alarm?

I will get a pic of the remote soon but supposedly its their best one from what the compustar people said when i called them for help. the remote has a screen to show me the battery level and its black with chrome trim with the buttons labeled I through IV if that helps

hey guys, my 89 mustang came with a compustar alarm which I hope wasnt a shop job because whoever installed this did a horrible job. I'm trying to decide whether to have a shop fix my alarm or install a new one, if so which one? I dont know anything about alarms at all, is compustar even a good company? What my alarms doing is when I used the remote to lock the car and turn on the alarm it wont let me disarm the alarm, and now it just stopped working completly and occasionally locks and unlocks the car but does not turn the alarm on and it is not in valet mode which it has also done before. I havent made any electrical changes recently so I dont know what it could be caused by. I have heard great things about viper other than them being too sensitive which I like anyway. also I was curious if anyone knew of a good shop if you think I should have mine fixed in northern cali, I live about an hour from modesto and stocton and about an hour and a half from sacramento. Thanks for any input

any other opinions on if that would be a good set up? and how it would sound with that amp?

what would you think of a single kicker zx1500? most people say they really put out like 1700 rms, is this true?

what would you guys think of a single 12 in audioque hdc3 with a kicker zx1000.1 in a aero ported box tuned to 35 hertz with subs back ports up in my 89 mustang hatch?

anyone recommend an amp and sub that will be equal to these rockfords?

ya their dvc. What type of dc or fi or audioque should I get to be comparable to these maybe a little louder but not too much, its almost perfect right now?

that looks like a good amp. Ill just decide a little later between the kicker, the ma audio, and the autotek. one other thing I was thinking of today is since I have the 3.5s in the dash and tweeters right in my ear. I dont know if I would be able to fit them in there or not but I'll check it out tomarrow. one last thing is I've seen little rubber or plastic inserts that go inside your door behind the speaker to kind of create its own box for the speakers, has anyone hear of or used these? if so how did it come come out.

they look like those on the cone but the magnet is huge like almost the as deep as the sub is wide. I'm looking for a single 12 that would be comparable to these but with more clarity with an amp that will power it. I think its just the box that these are in because its a really crappy leaky sealed box but they sound great on long deep bass notes but for quick tight notes they sound kinda fuzzy which could also be due to my crappy audiobahn amp.

what I was sayin is my friend wants them back unless I pay for them. thats why I was going to just give him back his subs and buy the audioque. but Ill ask if he wants to sell them still. hes going to want more because he ows me for a couple things but if you want to make an offer I will ask.

the rfs are really old their the punch series and their 10s in a sealed box and they hit pritty hard

hey guys, currently I am barrowing my friends 2 old skool rockford fosgate punch subs. He either wants them back or wants me to pay $70 for them. I'm trying to decide whether to either get his subs or get a single audioque 12 hdc312 for my daily set up. I was thinking of an *** trash but the audioque's cheeper and I have heard good reviews. What do you guys think?

I adjusted my equalizer and now my speakers sound way better and I can actually hear my tweeters. I see what you guys were sayin about having metal tweeters dam lol. I'm still thinkin about getting an amp. Would that autotek amp work good for my combo? or should I go with the ma audio one?
