I have the D5100R and LOVE IT! It fits like a glove in my Element, but my car does call for a group 51R. 8 3/16 6 13/16 7 3/4 This is the size of a group 26 9.04x5.45x8.15 This is the 5100 LWH If you have to room to spare. . I know my answer. ( My D5100 is good for 2000watts as primary. The HC1800 is only good for 1350) But, if your primary battery is healthy, all you really need is the D680 and 511 mount for that wattage. It's good for about 1000watts as a supplemental battery near the amps. If you might upgrade or would like some overkill, I think the D925 would be perfect. It's capable of 2400 amp bursts and supplements up to 2000watts. Use mount 527. www.xspowerbatteries.com What's funny .. The HC1800 is only good for 1350watts as the primary .. The D1200 would fit no problem with room to spare and maybe be able to use your factory mounts. .and, it's good for about same power as the larger HC1800. So, you have choices.

That's kindof like saying all amps are the same that are the same size or something. There are reasons that the D925 can supplement just as much or more power than the much larger KHC1400. . Or, if you compare the weight of the D3100 to the KHC2400. . the XS is good for like 4 or 5k supplement. .where the Kinetik is only good for about 2600 watts. . www.xspowerbatteries.com www.kinetikpower.com What's inside and how it is put to use makes all the difference. But, it's not up to me or you .. or any of us .. The better product will always prevail at the right price with the right marketing. . it's only a matter of time.

How many watts will you be running total, and what year make vehicle? If the 2400 fits, under the hood is no problem. With the D2400, you should be good for 2500 watts from under the hood. ( installed properly) But, used as a supplemental battery, it is good for 4000watts. . So, you could just add it in the back. ( if the factory battery and charging system is healthy. . it will help the cause) Everyone has an opinion on this .. but, I would replace the front battery and add what I need in the back.

I know plenty of amps that look alike on the outside too .. . or even use some of the same parts. . but HOW they are constructed inside is what counts. . I say, you get what you pay for. But, you never know now days .. in our Chinese built hobby .. it could be a knock off or the same manufacturer??????????
