  1. I cant find any info on your audiobahn, but it probably is rated at 2300 max, which is totally different then being rated at 2300 watts rms @ 1% thd
  2. but I cant imagine its not puttin out over 1000 watts. Which honestly the cheaper memphis probably wont do rated power either. What kind a money you lookin to spend on an amp?
  3. why do you want to go from a 2300 watt amp to a 1000 watt amp? Typically the audiobahn amps are very overrated, but it cant be that far off. The 16-PR1.1000 is memphis cheaper line so I wouldnt say that you would gain anything. Unless the ratings on the Audiobahn are totally bogus. Does it not sound loud enough right now? If you want more power, there are alot more options
  4. and I only have to turn my volume up to 5 and wow it really rocks!!!
  5. I am just saying why it is a bad idea. I have mounted amps to the box myself. I just depends on if you have a better place to mount em or not.
  6. what I mean by oscillating is the subs were moving, but at a rate too slow to produce sound.
  7. the reason its not a good idea to mount the amp to box is that the box will naturally have a vibration from the woofers. This can loosen components in the amp. I recently fixed a JL 1000/1 that two of the diodes had come loose from being mounted on the box, causing the subs to start oscillating. Anyway, the best place to mount the amps are usually on the floor. Or any place that wont shake with the bass, the back dash is usually a bad place to put em cause it vibrates more that the box.
  8. These amps are incredible, the output and clarity are just above and beyond any other none Zapco amps that I have used. Plus the DSP processing that is built in makes it really easy to tune the set up just right. I hooked my laptop up to the 360 and was able to tune both amps. The setting included, gain, eq, time delay, crossover setting, output level, input level and actually more than I can remember right now. The coolest part is that i could sit in the drivers seat with my laptop and adjust everything all at once. Instead of having to make countless trips to the trunk. The other great feature with the Zapco amp (not just the DC's) is they have a balance line output called symbilink that keeps radiated noise out of your sound and boost the pre outs up to 16 volts. Giving you a lower noise floor and a boosted signal to amps. If your into SQ these amps will absolutely fit the bill. But as a whole all the Zapco amps that I have used are on a different level than any other amps I have used. including JL Audio slash and e series, Rockford Power series, PPI power class old school( these were pretty close in SQ), xtant, Alpine and a couple others I cant think of right now. The only draw back to these amps are the sub amp is a class ab, while this is great for SQ, it is a bit less efficient than most d class's and heats up pretty quick and consumes quite a bit of power. If you have an questions about these amps I will be happy to try and answer them or Zapco has a really good forum that has actual technicians from there staff answering question. www.zapco.com Hope this doesnt sound too much like a plug, I just really like the products and this company.
  9. The worst part is, you will be without tunes while the t3000's are being repaired. I would say that your friend should swap you straight across if your paying for the repair. I mean come on, basically you are trading to non working amps for two perfectly good amps.
