I was hooking up the system for the first time, I got everything done, and no boom! I got 13.8 on both sides of the fuse and 1.8 at the amp. The only thing coming to my mind is a bad ground (which is bolted on a frame piece). Any ideas.

So I am at ford the other day getting a oil change, tire rotation and getting some replacement parts. I stop into the aftermarket shop to see about some rims. I start talking to the sales guy and he asks me what my plans are with the car, I tell him that I want to get some rims and put in a little system. He first suggests that I put 6x9's on the rear deck. I say no thanks, I have plans to do something a little more than that. I tell him I am planning on putting 2 12lvl4xl's on a rf1500.1 and 6.5's in the front doors on a rf600.4. He then suggests that I look into a pioneer slimline 12 because he had two in his infiniti and they cracked the back window and he had 3600 watts on them. REALLY? I was told to ditch the 400.00 subs for 75.00 subs.

I can give you my expierence with Kenwood. I have a thread on here with my build log titled 2008 ford fusion(the pictures with the stocks, kenwoods, rockfords next to each other tell a big story). I originally purchased a set of excelon 5x7 for replacements, within a week i sent them back for a set of rockford fosgate 6.5's. The difference is night and day. The kenwoods had good high range sounds, but that was it. There is little midbass and the midbass they did have was really sloppy. The fosgates have great midbass and sound really clean. I would also suggest getting a pack of damplier. Hope that helps.

I am having some issues thinking through a batch file. I have some dvd's stored in .Vob files on my computer and I want to write a small program that will play them without having to go in and highlight all files, right click, open with (WMPlayer or PowerDVD). I have the program to the point where it will open the folder for the DVDs, open the media player, then.... I am lost. I need it to isolate the .vob files and then play them. I was thinking c:\blahblah\VTS_01_*.vob to isolate the files but how do you actually play the files. t

How much did you use on the doors? I ordered 30sq of damp. Lite for my doors. I would love to be able to get all four done, but I think that will be a far reach.

i told my 3 year old not to throw a fork at the dogs and she looked at me and said "you gotta be freaking kidding me." She got in trouble, but it was really hard not to laugh at the whole situation.

Just ordered 30sq.ft for the front doors. Was going to do the headliner first but, the speakers I was looking at went on sale and I couldn't pass them up. I guess the I'll see how much I use in the doors to see what how much i need for everything else.

Just got a new car and I want to put a small system in. Before I start the system I would like to throw some second skin on it. My goals are sound quality and thermal insulation, without adding hundreds of pounds in just deadening material. I purchased the car to save some cash on gas so i don't want to add more weight then I have to. Yet I know the importance of sound deadening. The system will be a single 12". 5x7 in the factory locations, a new deck and amp everything. The car is a 2008 Ford Fusion SEL. I am thinking I want to add damplifier lite everywhere (doors, trunk, floorboards, headliner), then to offset the south florida sun a layer of heat wave pro on the headliner and floorboards, hopefully that will help acheive a super queit drive too. Is this the best route to go? T

you'll love the gsxr's. I have had a couple of gsxrs over the last 7 years and I hate riding other bikes. Good luck with it and stay safe.

If anything, call the law dogs. He is committing a crime. Theft is a crime even if it is just a couple of dollars in gas. Make him show the tapes to the 5.0, if he can't prove it... it never happened. Then beat him senseless.

I am jealous. I love those, super clean speakers. I used to work for Bang & Olufsen, and besides the B&O speakers, those were my favorites.

You can only find it through a distributor. I have two screwed up disks in my neck and EXTREME muscle spasms in my neck, traps, and shoulder. I guess that is what happens when someone slams you from behind at 55MPH. It has helped me alot in recovery, it didn't fix it all for me but it helps knock down some pain. You need to drink some MonaVie, it will help.

Make sure you "e-file" your finger prints to the FBI, it cost a bit more money but you'll get you permit back in two weeks. What kind of piece you planning on carrying. Me, XD subcompact 9mm with some really nice hollowpoints.

You may want to get an insurance policy before you get it home then.

Sounds like mine. A good friend launched it off a manhole cover at like 45mph and broke the rear shock hanger last year. I haven't fixed it yet, I know it is only a 5.00 part, I just have too many projects going on around the house to play with it.
