  1. The packaging for those looks pretty bad also. They should know that it's going to get dropped, kicked, rolled, etc, and come up with a better packing system. Digital Designs has an excellent system, that's cheap and effective. The best packaging I've seen was the round tube that my XXX came in.
  2. Thanks guys. I'm probably going to start tearing the old setup out this weekend, and build the battery rack and run some new wiring. Maybe I'll have time to start on the box, although I still have to order the mirrored plexi and the clear plexi for it, and the neon or led's. But at least I can get the woodwork done, and test fit it for the ampracks.
  3. --> QUOTE(Eric B @ Nov 17 2007, 02:22 PM) 195394[/snapback] damn nice build this is gunna be...my friend has a stratus r/t and it looks like a 15 is a tight fit, good luck! That was taken care of a long time ago, no fitment problems at all anymore. There's actually a single 15" woofer in there now, and I've run a single 18 before, but it left almost no room for anything else.
  4. It's still a work in progress, working on the paint and body right now, but here's a sneak peek at it:
  5. got a new toy today: uh oh, what's this strange package? could it be? yes it is, a 15" XXX This thing's an absolute beast, it dwarfs my 18" LMS-5400. Going in this, 4 cubic ft, tuned to 33hz with the inside mirrored, plexi on the back, with white LEDs inside: Powered by this bad boy: Should make for a decent daily driver setup, backed up by these:
  6. Did a 142.2 with a pair of 10's on 1500 watts in a '01 Stang. Subs rear, port side. The key seems to be a smaller box that will allow the airflow around it and into the cabin, instead of trying to put big subs in it, unless you go the route David did. We haven't had good luck with 12's in the trunk of those generation Mustangs at all. 10's seem to be the way to go.
  7. The internet didn't really exist when I went to basic, but we got our 10 minutes of phone time every week.
  8. OK, free shipping now 9518G - $500 shipped to the lower 48 SI Mag - $400 shipped to the lower 48
  9. before on mine: after: Sorry to threadjack, but this is a good thing for people who have cloudy and crusty headlights to do to restore clarity, and actually to be able to see at night again.........lol
  10. just keep them waxed religiously, or they'll go back to looking bad pretty fast if they're anything like mine.
  11. did mine a while back, and they looked good for a couple months, but now are back to being crappy looking again. Buffing them out helps a little, but I think mine are past wet-sanding out again and just need to be replaced. yours look to be in a lot better shape than mine from the beginning though.
  12. DD 9518, dual 2 ohm coils, bnib, $500 plus shipping Stereo Integrity 15" Magnum, bnib, $400 plus shipping
  13. Thanks guy, appreciate all the comments. I'll post more as I go along, it's just being a slow build for me.
  14. I chose that kit because I saw it on another car, and actually liked the way it looked once it was installed. Still have to order the hood to match though, it's classy without being overdone. Here's a pic of the same car with the bodykit and hood, although I will NOT have the shopping cart rice wing.
  15. Still working on it slowly, been really busy though. I'll take some more pics as it progresses. I've got a few more goodies at the shop to take pics of, namely the supercharger and wheels and tires. I've also go 2 more pieces of the dash to paint. It's coming along, slower than I would like though, but that's what happens when you work too much. The kickpanels are being recovered in black carpet to match the car's carpet, and the seats are going to be covered with leather with dark charcoal suede inserts soon, also the door panels will be redone with the dark suede, I'm not too fond of the light grey pleather now that the rest of the door is done.
  16. I remade the lower parts of mine, and reused the stock upper panels:
  17. how long are those ports? They seem to be very very short, which would make the tuning too high for my likes.
  18. I have a lot of experience with Mitsu Eclipses, and 2 15's won't fit with proper airspace unless you go sealed, the hatch is actually pretty small. 2 12's is a tight fit. If it was me, I would go with a single good 15 on a lot of power.
  19. for daily driving and groundpounding, sub back, port either back or to the driver's side for pure spl, sub forward, port driver's side.
