Damn Steve, it's amazing the patience you have to fab all those smaller trim panels in the back, especially this late in the process! Incredible work....as usual....looks killer! Question for you, or others here who might know, does the powermaster charge all the batts at the same time?... or just the rear ones?

I still havn't found if both my kinetic batteries can be maintainance charged while still connected to the car, but here is Rich's response to my email about charging the kinetiks. I emailed him again for more info on the KIBC 12-35 and will post what he says. There is nothing about it on their site or the web in general!

I just found this post and tried out the site last night, I know nothing about how all the marketing stuff works, but this sight is awesome! Takes me a while scrolling through all the pages and listening to stuff, but it's cool cause I'm still gathering music while I build my wall. Thanks for posting this!

You need to go 3-way components with dedicated midbasses and an amp on them, doesn't have to be a big amp.

Is it a wall? I think if you have a box below the rear windows in an extended cab with subs aimed up, you might get some cabin gain vs a wall from floor to ceiling. Whatever happens, please post some vids. I am going with 3 smaller Crunch amps 1500 rms, and would love to see some pics/vids of yours!

A few people on the PT forums are looking into that, I think it can be done, just have to figure it out. That would be the best option. I think the donut is a 16x6 or something, and I run 18x7.5 custom wheels.

I have roadside assistance, but what do they do? They can't patch the tire, air it up, and put it back on right there on the road can they??? I thought they just put the spare on the car for you and send you on your way? This would only really be a problem if I had someone with me in the car, as it's now a 2-seater. that tire going into the front with a person ain't gonn fit. Roof rack would be good for long trips, and those rear door things on PT's are fake, no tire goes in them.

So I'm building a wall in my PT and the donut spare tire hangs on the underside of the car like a pickup truck spare tire. My problem is, if I have flat, and put that donut on, the 18"wheel/tire that is flat won't fit into that donut space, so I would have to put the flat on the fold flat front passenger seat to get it to a tire shop. What do you guys with big wheels do to be prepared in case you have a flat?

Ported box is still going to peak at it's tuning point. When I went through my tuning prob, Steve said try to get it tuned under 35 hz, I tried every which way, but could not get mine under 38. I thought you might be rebuilding to get better numbers on the meter. Go with the biggest box you can get, ask people here to help you with designing the port for ~33 hz and you should be pretty happy with it. I think the one note SPL setups are tuned much higher 45-55 hz. EDIT: I looked up the specs, I don't see why you would not be able to get it to 35 hz maybe less with almost 3 cu ft each. It'll just take some port design research. You probably already know this, but keep in mind that tweeters like that one are actually about 4-5" diameter with the housing, the actual tweeter dome is the 1".

It's a tradeoff, I'll use mine as an example. I had 4 12"s in a sealed box, proper airspace for each. It rolled of -3db at 46 hz, meaning it would not get low, but was still decently loud, and nice for daily listening on music. My new wall is for 8 12"s, so space is limited, and instead of the ideal 32 hz tune, I end up with a 38 hz tune. It's still going to be able to get significantly lower than my old sealed box. So you will be able to get lower with a ported box even though it is slightly small, compared to a sealed box. For pure SPL, you will need to select a frequency to tune for that works with your car, so that the port can peak at that frequency.

Was that regular or super unleaded?? Yep, tired eyes can really make for a tough day, not to mention how much MDF dust you probably get into them working on rides after work! My cat chewed on mine, and left some marks in the plastic lenses, so I'm gonna have to get some new lenses soon.

Holy crap! I kinda wondered if Chicken worked in the music industry or somehow related, but whatever he does, he is really successful at it!! Very nice! I know nothing about recording studios, but am guessing that they don't need multiple big speakers in them, but it would be cool to see Steve build at least 2 18" FI's into a wall in there or something.
