yea maybe were seeing the same problem here. faulty regulator maybe? I drove it last night for about 30 mins and the lights were still flickering. My frined put a dmm on it and it reads between 14-14.8 volts fluctuating a lot inbetween. Idle it starts dropping bad...even when no significant load is applied. The only real bad part about this is the time it takes to take the alt out in my car....its a real bish in my car. what kind of alt do u have?

man i tell ya its always something. well my alt is making funny noises and my lights are starting to flicker. my volt gauge fluctuates (never below 12). are the brushes in my alt going bad or something?

no, underpowering your subs doesnt damage them. What do u think happens when you turn down the volume a sub is blown either from mechanical or thermal failure. Failure shouldnt happen at RMS...even if clipping.

Yea, it depends on the context that she used it. just wanted to update right quick well after working 5 hours non stop on it on sunday, I finally got that plug in. Its IMPOSSIBLE to plug in whithout undoing the whole bracket then sliding the alt up. Ill put money on it that my car is the biggest pain in the bitch to work on alternator wise.... but yea the problem is fixed...too bad it ruined my weekend of drinking w sexy bishes

cool thanks fellas. Its dark cold and rainy outside and the plug goes in at the bottom of the alt, on the bottom rear of the engine. In other words it hard to do it at night. I'll lug it back in in the morning. I really hoped it fell out instead of me just pulling it out..... good night guys.

so i started the car up after getting a haircut and noticed the car was running at 10 volts. the battery finally drained and i think its the alt. I have a mechman 150 amp alt. Car is a 93 dodge stealth base model. One more thing, i was reaching down at the alt (its on the bottom of my engine) and i pulled up the plug from the alt. Now im not sure whether i pulled it out or whether it was out in the first place. If the plug was out, would the alt quit charging altogether? I hope thats all it is. Thanks for the help fellas. I reall hope its not a dead alt for my car. My alt takes hours to change because of its location.

what is the rms range for these subs. is 1200 a good number for daily?

id chose the chaos over the se's if you're looking at which sub can take more power. The se's will sound a little better though. But dont underestimate the se's either. I know people running 200rms over what they state and they're still fine.
