  1. the dd m3a is rated to do [email protected]. the web site states the power rating at 11.9v. it is a fairly expensive amp, but well worth the cost at .66 it will actually do closer to 2800rms
  2. in regular boxes the airspace and port are not right for the 8's. those lil guys need a certian box size to not only play at there best, but also for cone control. the cone is so light and they have so much motor force behind them that they tend to lose control. which is why most typical 8's boxes need a loading wall to control the excursion. but after many dealers getting with steve from dd and discussing what has worked best it came to be that a .9cuft box with 20sqin of port enables the customer to build the box and not have to worry about building a loading wall. i had a guy buy 4 1508's and he built his box to like 3.5cuft with only 15sqin of port and he would only do a 140. i helped him design a new box to the specs given and he jumped up and is now doing a 148 with 4 8's. and they are extremly musical.
  3. yes the port is hugh, but thats what the lil guys like. if currently working on putting 4 1508's on a dd z2lv in my wifes car. thats 8800 rms on 8's. hahaha
  4. looking good man. now get back to work and finish that bike
  5. dd plays well below there tuning. tune the box to 37hz and you'll be happy. also give each sub .9cuft after displacments. make sure that you give the subs 20sqin of port per cube. this seems like alot, but it has been tested by myself and many, many other dd dealers. the 8's work best in .9cuft with 20sqin. so if your doing 3 of them make the box 2.7cuft with 60sqin of port after displacments. by doing so you eliminate the need for a loading wall.
  6. dd or aq. even the 2500 series will amaze you
  7. it all depends on how smart you are with your volume knob and gain. if you clip the shit out of em then thats way too much. but you dont need 1500 on them lil guys. 800-1000 will be more then enough
  8. dont worry bout the 43hz fs. tune em to 36hz and be done with it. i had 4 tss 15's on 2 m3's doin a 153@37hz.
  9. very. theres another guy on the soundpressure forums that has 4 1508's on a z1a doin a 151. also a friend of mine has 4 1508's in his exterra doin a 148@43hz. also there rated at 450rms but the like bout 800rms. i have personally ran them too
  10. trust me those numbers are not inflated. those lil 8's are sick. i did a 07 tahoe with a pair of 1508's on a dd ss1 and it did a 140@39hz. jeramiha ledgerwood hit a sb record when it first came out, he did a 152.8 in sb2. those numbers are offical
  11. yea they came to a show down in hobbs and i had em sit in my blazer and they damn near shit on themselves. lol. there vehicles were jokes. 5 12's in sealed boxes stacked on top of each other barely hitten a 139
  12. hell i dont know. i never understood the whole town rival bullshit. i think its funny
  13. hey captian planets im only 2 hours from you. i just moved back to lovington.
  14. here's some more loud tens for ya.
  15. this is a 350z i did for a customer with a 2512, running off a m1a@2ohms. he would do a 142@38hz legal. 3cuft is too big for a 9512. 2.5cuft is the perfect size box. it gets nice and low.
  16. chode mang i have an 8g itouch

  25. well i guess the reason it matters to me is that i run and sell mostly dd subs. and the dd subs play well below tuning. so when i set up the amps i want to know that they can play the music they want safely. also i to hate the rockford set ss filter. i have a friend that i did his car and when a dd amp is in there he can play put on, and hit all the notes, yet with his rockford amps hooked up he cant play the 4th note
